Shane and Arpi’s Journey to Baby Rose

Shane and Arpi always knew adoption would play a role in their family story. With several of Shane’s close relatives being adopted, the couple felt deeply connected to the process and the love that grows from it. After facing a disrupted placement with a previous agency, they were understandably nervous when they began their journey with Adoption Choices of Kansas. But from the moment they connected with their caseworker, Brandy Johnson, they felt reassured and supported.

In the spring of 2022, the couple was matched with a courageous expectant mother. That September, their daughter Rose was born at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. The placement went smoothly, and the finalization process was swift. Bringing Rose home to San Diego, California, marked the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

What made this experience truly special wasn’t just the outcome, but the journey itself. Shane and Arpi felt deeply cared for by Brandy and the entire team. The transparency, guidance, and heartfelt support left a lasting impression. The respect and kindness shown to the birth mother also stood out—creating a bond that continues to be part of their growing family.
